At Gerwin, your privacy and protection of your data is our top priority. All collected data, both personal and non-personal, is protected to the highest global standards. Because we believe that your personal data should always be yours, we have a strict privacy policy. This policy is fully compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as the relevant laws and regulations in force in the Netherlands.

The content of this privacy policy applies to the gerwin.io website and the use of the services provided by this website to the user.

1. Notification

Whenever we request information that can be used to identify you, you will be explicitly asked to provide it and/or give us permission to use it. This information is requested by our system whenever your permission is required to proceed (e.g., requesting permission to use cookies when you visit our site, requesting your payment information when you register).

You will always have a choice whether or not to give us permission to process your information.

For data that is not essential to the core functionality of our services (e.g., cookies for marketing purposes, company name, etc.), you may refuse permission without any consequences to your access to Gerwin.

If you choose to opt out of the information we require to use our services (e.g., essential cookies, billing information, email address), we may not be able to provide you access to all aspects of Gerwin that require this information in order to function. Whether or not certain information is necessary to use our services will be explicitly stated when you are asked to provide or authorize use of such information.

By agreeing to this privacy policy and providing us with your personal information, you agree that we will treat that information as described in this privacy policy.

We also collect data based on your use of our platform through additional cookies. This data is collected and processed completely anonymously, meaning it cannot be traced back to you or your identity.

3.2. How we use your information

  • Giving you access to all Gerwin`s features.

We use anonymous usage data to analyze the use of our platform by our users so that we can improve our services.

Data about our users' use of our platform may be shared with third parties with whom we work to improve our services and support our operations. This includes organizations such as marketing agencies. This data will always be completely anonymous before it is shared.

Some of your personally identifiable data may also be shared with our partners to provide you with our core services. An example would be shipping companies when we need to physically mail an item to you. In such cases, these partners will only be given the information that is absolutely necessary to provide their services.

If a federal court, judge, or law enforcement agency requests your personal information or other information concerning you or your identity, we are required by law to give them your personal information. In these cases, we may do so without your permission and without notifying you.

With the exception of these three categories, no party outside of Gerwin will ever have access to your personal information unless you specifically give us permission. If we do want to share your information with any outside party outside of these three categories, we will always first explicitly ask your permission.

4. Retention of Information

We retain your information for as long as it is necessary to provide our services to you. All personally identifiable information will be deleted when you tell us that you want to stop using our services (for example, by deleting your account), when your subscription expires, or when you explicitly ask us to delete it. Once your request is submitted and acknowledged, your information will be deleted within 14 days.

Information may be kept longer if required by law. If required by law or ordered by a federal judge or court, we may retain the information longer and/or turn it over to a specified organization.
